PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A mixed-use building in the downtown business district of Hinsdale. The first floor is a restaurant and second floor contain offices. High-end residential condominiums finish out the third floor. Intricate precast stone elements were used to give the building an elegant look. An attached parking garage was built on the rear of the building due to the small lot size.
The project involved zero-lot line construction requiring an 18 ft deep earth retention system during excavation and foundation construction. E.P. Doyle coordinated with the Village of Hinsdale to close roads as required for the use of cranes to set steel, precast concrete, and other equipment. A beautiful view of downtown Chicago is visible from the rooftop condo terraces.
