LaGrange Country Club

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This was an extensive remodel of the LaGrange Country Club.  E. P. Doyle demolished several buildings to make way for a new bathhouse, pro shop, and cart storage facilities.

Timing is critical to any golf course work.  Activities must start after the golf season is over and weather becomes a factor.  The pool house had to be done for opening day.  E. P. Doyle built the complete structure under a tent and completed the facility a head of schedule.  As a cost savings, all spoils generated remained on site.  Doyle coordinated these activities and created soil berms and other course enhancements while working with LaGrange’s course superintendent and architect.  Late in the project E. P. Doyle was asked to step in and provide services to build out the Pro Shop.  Doyle was able to provide more competitive pricing than the club had received and completed the project in time for the Chicagoland’s annual directors outing.  This project led to several other successful projects completed for the LaGrange Country Club.
