DuPage Eye Surgery Center
The DuPage Eye Surgery Center is an addition to the Wheaton Eye Clinic that adds an ambulatory surgical treatment center for eye surgery procedures. It contains three operating rooms with all the associated sterile areas and equipment, pre-op, recovery, and waiting areas. This new facility will accommodate up to 5,000 cataract, corneal, glaucoma, retinal and oculoplastic surgeries per year. The clinic, which has been in the area for 70 years, serves 150,000 patients annually.
The Wheaton Eye Clinic never closed during construction. E.P. Doyle coordinated with the staff to maintain access to their clinic at all times. This was especially challenging during the construction of the new entrance drive up canopy and main entrance to the clinic.
